How to tell us that a track we released, or content on this site, infringes your rights, and what we do next.
DraftNot in force yet
What a complaint needs
Send your complaint to [to be confirmed: copyright email]. We reply within 5 working days. Please include:
- Your name, how to contact you, and whether you own the rights or act for the owner.
- The work or recording you say is infringed, with proof of your rights (for example a release date, an ISRC or the original files).
- The track you are complaining about: its title, a link, its ISRC or UPC if you have it, and the part of the track concerned.
- A statement that the information is true and that the rights owner did not allow the use.
How we handle it
- We confirm that we received it, and check that it has the information we need.
- We tell the artist of the track and give them [to be confirmed: number of days] to reply with evidence.
- When a complaint is clear, we may pause the track or take it down straight away, and hold the disputed income until the matter is settled.
- We tell both sides the outcome. We do not act as a court: if the two sides do not agree, the track stays paused until they reach an agreement or there is a binding decision.
Content ID claims
- We register our releases in YouTube Content ID. If your video was claimed by mistake, send the video link to [to be confirmed: copyright email]. We release the claim if you have the right to use the track.
- Our artists can have their own channels allowlisted under the Release Agreement.
Repeat infringement and false complaints
- An account with 2 or more valid complaints is closed, and we may end the release agreements involved.
- A complaint that is knowingly false, made to take down someone else's track, can make the person who sent it legally liable for the harm it causes.
